Learn where you live
This 48-credit hour program can be completed in as short as three years with only one or two weeks on campus each year. Some courses are offered through a hybrid instruction model, with an on-campus intensive supported by online components providing an enriching Emmanuel community experience. Other courses will be offered fully online utilizing a dynamic educational platform that will simulate classroom learning from the convenience of your home, office or coffee shop.

Drawing from a Deep Well
Emmanuel is committed to helping you gain a deep theological education through core courses that provide the academic excellence for which ECS is known. Courses will offer instruction in biblical studies, church history, theology and practical ministries. The same distinguished professors who are highly respected in their fields and experienced in ministry will teach the majority of courses. This high quality degree, accredited by ATS (Association of Theological Schools) and SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, petition pending), will allow you to draw on a deep well of knowledge for years into the future of your ministry.

For Service in Ministry
The world of ministry is changing and Emmanuel is here to help you be better prepared to meet the needs of the people you are serving. Courses in Christian ministries include preaching, counseling, education, leadership and world mission help you further develop your ministry skills with projects connected to your current ministry contexts. Emmanuel’s commitment to the church in the twenty-first century is inherent in this degree program. It is important that your seminary education also address you as a person in ministry. Spiritual formation courses, student cohorts and supervised experiences are designed to assist you to address issues of ministry service as you live your call to follow God.
