Dr. Charles E. Cook, In Memory

We are sad to notify you of the death of one of Emmanuel's dear friends, Dr. Charles E. Cook.

Dr. Charles Cook was a strong Christian leader who faithfully served God and the church most of his life. He ministered for more than sixty years as a traveling evangelist and a minister of churches in several different states. Charles' service was not limited to local congregations. His influence was felt nationally when he taught at Manhattan Christian College and was president of the North American Christian Convention. Charles' impact on the church was also felt internationally because of his close association with Christian Missionary Fellowship since the 1950s. Even when his health was severely compromised by cancer, Charles continued to minister to others. Christian service was not just what Charles did, it was who he was. Charles, along with his wife, Barbara, have been wondeful role models to all those they impacted.

We, at Emmanuel, are honored that the Charles Cook Institute for Excellence in Ministry is named for this faithful Christian servant.

We will miss Charles and pray he finds rest in the bosom of our Lord.
