Alexander Campbell Scholarship Nominations Sought
Thank you for your continued support of the mission of Emmanuel School of Religion. We continue to strive to come alongside God and continue the work he is doing in preparing men and women to serve in ministry
and we appreciate your prayers. The admissions department also needs your help to identify students who will succeed and thrive at Emmanuel.
You are invited to submit nominations for the 2011 Alexander Campbell Scholarships. These scholarships are intended to encourage those who are and/or should be preparing for ministry to include Emmanuel School of Religion as a part of their preparation for effective ministry.
The Scholarships cover a large portion of tuition for classes taken toward the Master of Divinity degree at Emmanuel. The award total is $26,100 over the course of a student's degree program, or $290 per credit hour.
An independent selection committee will award the scholarships based on the following criteria: Exhibited Leadership Ability, Excellence in Academic Performance, and Potential for Success in Leadership Ministries. This latter criterion will be judged
on the basis of: Understanding of and Commitment to Ministry, Spiritual and Emotional Maturity, Communication Skills, Compassion and Empathy, and Performance as a Christian Role Model.
To be eligible for the Scholarships,
the candidates must be ready to begin studies at Emmanuel with the fall class of the 2011-12 Academic Year. They may include men or women in the church who have demonstrated ability in ministry, graduates of Christian or state colleges, or college seniors.
To nominate someone for the Alexander Campbell Scholarship please send their name and contact information (email, phone number, or mailing address) to Erin Layton at elayton@ecs.edu.
Thank you for taking the time to submit names to us. We greatly value your input and consideration in the Alexander Campbell Scholarship Program, the success of which depends largely upon your participation. We continue to covet your prayers and will continue to keep your ministry in our prayers as well. May the Lord bless you.
Please note the deadline for nominations is February 1, 2011.
